“Farewell Young Scout”©When a boy puts on a uniform, he becomes a partOf our Scouting Family and every Scouter’s heart. It does not really matter if he’s in Our Pack[Troop] or Yours, Scouting is one Fam’ly, from our borders to our shores. When a Scout does something special, Scouting hearts all fill with Pride, And all those hearts are broken when they hear a Scout has died. We never know just where or when,or whom God next will choose But it hurts us most when it’s someone we’re not prepared to lose. It seems it’s human nature when we have to say “Goodbye” To bow our heads and ask the Lord, “Why him, why now, Lord, why?” For those of us left here on Earth, it’s hard to understand, But it’s not for us to question the Wisdom of His plan. Though we may never understand why this has come about, We’ll miss you and we want to say, “Farewell to you, young Scout”. |
